Halifax Scientific Society - Natural History and
Science for Pleasure - Lectures and Rambles.

Indoor meetings and talks are held at Halifax Central Library, Northgate*, Halifax.  They start at 7.15pm in Rooms 1 and 2 in the comfortable Library Basement.  Lift access is available.  Talks are on the second Tuesday of each month.  There is a retiring collection to offset our expenses.
*Halifax Central Library is due to relocate in Spring 2017.

Walks are led by experienced Naturalists and whilst every care is taken to minimise hazards, participants join at their own risk.  The walks are categorised as Ambles, Rambles and Hikes which vary in length and difficulty.  Most walks meet at 10:30 for a 10:40 start.  Bring a packed lunch, all-weather clothing and strong footwear.  Donations are welcomed to offset expenses.
